William H. Wade

William Henry Wade (November 3, 1835 – January 13, 1911) was a U.S. Representative from Missouri.
Born near Springfield, Ohio, Wade attended the common schools, Grove Academy, and Antioch College, Yellow Springs, Ohio.
He engaged in agricultural pursuits.
During the Civil War enlisted in the Union Army April 17, 1861, and was mustered out April 26, 1866.
He moved to Missouri in May 1866 and resumed agricultural pursuits.
He served as member of the State house of representatives in 1881–1884.
Wade was elected as a Republican to the Forty-ninth, Fiftieth, and Fifty-first Congresses (March 4, 1885-March 3, 1891).
He served as chairman of the Committee on Labor (Fifty-first Congress).
He was an unsuccessful candidate for reelection to the Fifty-second Congress.
He again engaged in agricultural pursuits.
He died in Springfield, Missouri, January 13, 1911.
He was interred in Maple Park Cemetery.
